Pittsburgh Landscape Design & Installation

A patio or retaining wall is only half of the picture. The grading around it, the beds that soften its edges, the lawn that meets it, and the drainage that keeps water away from the house are what make a property look finished. Kelley Construction designs and installs the landscape together with the hardscape, so the stone and the greenery are planned as one project across Greater Pittsburgh and Allegheny County.

What We Offer

Most of our landscape work starts with a hardscape project and grows from there: the beds along a new wall, the lawn that was torn up for a patio, the slope that needs to drain somewhere other than the basement. We handle the full scope so you are not coordinating two contractors over the same yard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you design the landscaping along with the hardscape?

Yes. We plan planting beds, lawn areas, grading, and drainage at the same time as the patio or wall, so the finished property reads as one design instead of two separate projects.

Can you fix a yard that holds water?

Usually. Most standing-water problems come down to grading and where the downspouts discharge. We regrade, add drainage where it is needed, and tie it into the hardscape work so the water goes where it should.

When is the best time to plant in Pittsburgh?

Spring and early fall are the best windows for trees, shrubs, and lawns. We schedule planting around the hardscape work so new beds and lawns go in once the heavy equipment is off the site.
